story board is complete!

as I blogged previously, back in October, I'm in the process of writing my very first children's book. originally titled "Filthy Rich" I have now changed the name to "Anything BUT a bath!"
publishing a book is way more complicated than I could have ever imagined! there's so much time and money involved in protecting your work (copywriting and trademarking) it's not even funny, but I'm glad to announce that most of the paper work has been filed.
meanwhile all that gets sorted, I've started to work on the design by completing a page-by-page story board. below is a picture of what the first few pages are ought to look like. enjoy the tease!

chibird doodles

stumbled up on this cute doodle on the inter web recently and since I wanted to find out who was responsible for my ear to ear smile I visited the site printed on it. turns out the artist is still in high school and goes by the name of Chibird. she expresses herself so well using doodles like the one above. I definitely recommend to take a look at her work, it's the cutest! one of my new favorite artists! chibird.tumblr.com

and the good times carry on... year of the rabbit

in chinese culture the new year (also known as the spring festival)
is only days away and as we prepare to say goodbye to the year of the Tiger we get ready to receive the year of the Rabbit.
*Here is what's in stock for us Tigers:

"Tigers should enjoy an energetic year on the business and career front and sweaty days spent stalking wildebeest on the savannah are likely to be well rewarded. On the downside, much of the year will be spent at the office and you’ll to be too busy chasing zebras and goring springboks that there will be little time for a roll around in the grass with friends or to sniff out any potential mates. If you can, try and channel some of your creative energy into learning new skills; your get up and go attitude will drive you to success making it the perfect year to take up that course on emergency first aid for antelopes"
